Hudson Job Search (HJS) is a volunteer organization dedicated to assisting men and women in the process of learning essential job skills during their career transition. All who are interested in the job search process are welcome to join in the HJS Monday night job search meetings. These meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:30pm at Christ Church Episcopal in Hudson. In addition to the Monday night meetings, those eligible for additional assistance can receive one-on-one services from a volunteer HJS Advisor including:

  • Personalized Self Assessment
  • Resume Preparation
  • Organizing Your Job Search
  • Answering Job Postings
  • Targeting Your Job Campaign
  • Interviewing Skills
  • Researching Potential Employers Negotiating Compensation
  • Professional Networking
  • Closing on a Job Offer

Due to limited resources and volunteer hours, one-on-one advising is limited to those living or worshipping in Hudson. Although many communities provide some facilities for their job seekers to meet together, it is believed that HJS is unique nationally in its volunteer advising, as well as the dedication of the assigned advisor who works closely with the job seeker until a new position is found.
